Boston Cream Trifle

This month's Cake Slice Baker's selection was Boston Cream Pie-lets from Julie Richardson's Vintage Cakes. It was meant to be mini servings of Boston Cream Pie served individual style in champagne cups or ramekins. Sadly, I had no individual serving dishes, so I opted for a trifle. I followed the recipe to create a wonderful cake, luscious vanilla pudding and an amazing chocolate ganache, then layered it all up. Yum...and even better after chilling in the fridge overnight!

I like your idea of making the pie-lets into a trifle! It looks really great that way :)

Oh my! That looks like a yummy mess! My DH would love that. He always wants to mix cake in with his ice cream!

I almost myself made a trufle, dont have any small dessert dishes either. Luckily I remembered I had the ice cream glasses, which I opted for. Regardless of what dishes we used, I agree this dessert was fantastic!
