Sour Cream Chocolate Cake

We changed our format for the Cake Slice Bakers this month so that we have the option of choosing from 4 cakes to bake. You all know that I picked chocolate! I baked up this quick and easy Sour Cream Chocolate Cake from Carole Walter's Great Cakes for Father's Day. while the cake was a tad bit dry, the Sour Cream frosting was to die for! It bakes in a 9x13 pan so not many points for presentation but it would be a super easy portable bake for any social gathering.

That picture ... is.... too... wrong! :P ... It looks sooo good that it makes me want to throw my strict diet out the window and have cake and milk! oh my goodness! Is there a better thing ever? Great job Stacie! Sorry the cake was dry... at least the frosting improved it! :) (looks so glossy and perfect!)

Glad to hear the frosting was good, shame about the cake though, at least you can smother it in even more icing!

Oh, yum! It looks delicious! I wonder what you could do next time to make the cake more moist?

Stacie your cake looks great. I have been wanting to try this one and I will keep an eye on it for the dryness and so looking forward to the frosting!
