Tipsy Tuesday (#204)

I love post-pregnancy hormones...losing the hair on my head, but you could braid what is suddenly growing on my legs...

Tip #204

Be sure to change your razor, which harbors bacteria, frequently.

Your razor starts collecting bacteria the very first time that you use it. And shaving creates little microcuts in the skin, creating an easy entry into the body for that bacteria--staph, strep, and mold, just to name a few. Toss your razor if you see any rust on it, or if you get razor bumps after you shave. To prevent rust, blast your razor with a hair dryer after you use it and store it in the medicine cabinet. A disposable should be used no more than 10 shaves.

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

I desperately need to buy a new razor. I've had mine too long. I used to steal blades from Keith but he switched to a different one.

Shaving can be so gross.

Warts are a virus that some people do not have a resistance for, my girls included. If you happen to shave a wart the virus can spread where ever the razor goes. Our dermatologist has been entire knees and shins covered in warts before. I'm so thankful my girls have a steady hand when it comes to shaving!

Thanks for linking up with us!

I need a new razor SO BAD but they're so expensive I always stretch mine to the limit. You've thoroughly grossed me out though, so a change is coming this week.

I saw something about this recently and immediately chunked my razor and got a new blade. I don't keep track of how long I have it but I'm sure it was too long!

The things we do for our children... it is amazing the changes that we go through. I do change my razor out often but then again I shave my legs every day. OCD I guess. Good info to know.

Rust is usually the key to when I know to throw it away-- I'm bad with a razor no matter the condition- I'm super clumsy with it! Great tip!

OMG, I'm terrible for this, and am very much in need of this reminder right now. About the last eleventy-billion times I've showered, I've thought, "Hm, probably time to change the razor blade." And I haven't. I seriously don't even rememeber the last time I changed it. Yikes! Thanks for this much-needed tip!!!
