Tipsy Tuesday (#247)

When I saw this on Pinterest, I felt silly for not thinking of it myself.

Tip #247

Keep a dry erase marker in the laundry area to note clothes inside the washer that shouldn't be dried.

We have several articles of clothing that need to lay flat or hang to dry and this will make it so much easier to make sure that they don't end up in the dryer. Just jot a quick list on the washer lid with a dry erase marker as you sort laundry into the machine, then erase once you have pulled the item out. (I have the marker pictured and it has an eraser and magnet attached, so you can just leave it attached right there to the washer lid!)

P.S. Buzzfeed has plenty more tips to make doing laundry easier here.

Another excellent idea... I end up picking through wet clothes to find what shouldn't go in the dryer, and it does happen on occasion that something gets missed... and by the time you find out, it's too late!!

okay-- confession time.
I don't know how I have gotten to this point but...

I don't even separate my clothes anymore! SHOCK!!

I will wash blacks and whites together, reds and all other stuff is mixed in. Now.. with that said-- I do try to wash reds or blacks if they are new SOLO but once they've been washed a time or two on their own, they're thrown in with the rest. I have found that after a few washes, they don't really make much difference. My clothes still look good (I think).
I have ruined a few things but its been a while. This is a great idea AS ALWAYS! :)

Oh that is such a good idea! Way too many times I forget and miss something.

Now that's a pretty good idea! I always end up drying the wool sweaters on accident and then we have to stretch them out again. I probably shouldn't even be washing those either. Oops. ;o)
