Christmas With Little Hands - Felt Tree

Christmas with curious little hands around looks a little different than Christmases past and I am finding that I love it! I went with a less fussy tree this year to limit the temptation for Elise and I am finding the less cluttered look and the family ornaments to be a welcome change.

In addition, inspired by Pinterest (pretty sure the Rev just rolled his eyes, as he always does when I mention pinning...), we have a felt tree that is all for Elise. She can touch it and rearrange the ornaments as much as she wants. She is really loving it. It started with a $10 kit from Target that included the tree, a tree skirt, and punch out ornaments. Once I discarded the ornaments that were too small for E, it was a little slim, so I purchased some felt and made some additional jazzed up with puffy paint ornaments. As a side note, if you decide to use a felt tree and your child loves it so much that they take an ornament into the bathtub with them, just know that felt dries very quickly....

That is so so cute! I have heard someone else say a lot of the ornaments with the Target set are kind of small. Love your additions
