Tipsy Tuesday (#242)

Turkey, and stuffing, and pie, oh my!

Tip # 242

Use smaller plates and avoid a Thanksgiving bellyache.

U.S. News advises, "Because of the size of some dinner plates, people often take more than they can—or should—eat. By using smaller dinner plates, guests will finish all of their food, and can easily go back for seconds. It's a good way to cut down on food waste, and an especially good idea for kids, who may take two bites of stuffing before abandoning the dinner table to go play with their cousins." I like the smaller plate idea - but like you said, it still doesn't keep you from going back for seconds, so would it help me eat less? Maybe, maybe not. :o) Either way, I think I'd FEEL like I was eating less.

Ah, this is a trick I really should employ... I just get too greedy when all that yumminess is in front of me! I'm really going to have to be careful this holiday season!

I think Thanksgiving is a time to go ALL OUT! I think the fact that I"m not a fan of pie and stuff, helps me out. I fill up on mashed taters and turkey/gravy! That's the good stuff!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! Wish you lived closer!
hugs!

That is such a good idea. It is so easy to have very big eyes at Thanksgiving and want to fill my plate high with everything
