Anyway, this post has been 6 loooooong years in the making. When we moved here we bought our first house, a 1960's ranch. It had been updated inside, but the outside...Various shades of dark brown and rusty brown paint made it look like one giant pile of poo (as Mike Rowe would say...I miss Dirty Jobs, but I digress...). I dubbed her The Turd and dreamed of the day we would be able to afford to paint.
Finally this year we made it happen. We've added a new roof and my vision of deep red shutters and doors (Valspar Montpelier Red Velvet) has been complimented by a light khaki (Valspar Faint Maple) carport and eaves. Now I feel like the outside looks as well loved and taken care of as the inside. Ding, dong, the turd is gone!
