Elise - 5 Months

Dear Elise,

It's been 5 whole months since you stole our hearts! Here is what you are up to:

•You weighed 12lbs. 8oz. and were 24 inches long at your 4 month checkup.

•You started solid foods last month. We started with rice cereal, which you were less than excited about, but have progressed to oatmeal and bananas, which you love. Next up is green veggies, we will hope that you aren't as picky as your Daddy when it comes to veggies! You still take a bottle every 4 hours.

•You sleep about 8 hours straight at night, usually going to bed between 9 and 10 and waking up between 5 and 6. You have taken a liking to catnaps during the day (you get this from your Daddy), with your longest nap coming in the evening.

•You wear size 2 diapers.

•You are wearing mostly size 3 months clothing, with a few 3-6 month outfits in there. 6 month items still require rolled up cuffs and sleeves!

•You love to squeal, you usually do it when Scarlett is around, but not paying you any attention. She is not impressed...

•You spent your 1st nights away from me this month when your Daddy took you to visit MawMaw and PawPaw...I cried...

•You love to look in a mirror and cannot figure out who the other baby is looking back at you. (How about that bald spot, you got that this month, too!)

•You roll over tummy to back, but not back to tummy yet. You do great playing on your tummy.

•Your favorite toys are the squeaker taggie that is on your car seat and the crinkle cookbook that your Mimi gave you. They are almost always covered in drool, because you love to eat them!

•You are a great traveler, whether it is errands, dinner out, or shopping.

•You are a very easy going baby!

•At church, they call you Little Rev (really they call you Little Mike, but your Daddy likes for me to use his fake name on here, sort of super hero-ish...).

I sing it to you every day and I want you to know that I mean it, you truly are my sunshine!
