Tipsy Tuesday (#193)

One is the loneliest number...

Tip #193

but by yourself is the best way to shop!

Shopping solo is a smart approach to staying on budget. Shopping with a companion inspires us to spend more, whether it’s to out-do them or merely because having them along takes our focus off of our Christmas gift-giving budget. Instead, do your Christmas shopping alone for the same reason you go grocery shopping alone: because it gets you in and out without any “surprise” purchases.

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

I would prefer to do ALL my shopping alone unless I am buying something for one of the kids that I absolutely need them to try on.

I agree 100%, I always buy more when with friends. They also say to go left first, something about retailer s putting more expensive items to the right of the store since most people go to the right first. Who knows....

Thanks for linking up with us!

Couldn't agree more. I prefer to shop alone, at any time! Plus, you can go at your own speed, not worry about getting separated and then having to find one another in a big crowded store, and look at the things YOU want to look at. I'm a control freak when it comes to shopping (ask my friends who have dared to tag along, they know I like to stick to my own schedule! haha!)

It's also less difficult to hide gifts from people when the people you are buying for are with you.

Totally agree! When I put something crazy in my cart there's no one there to judge, lol.
