Tip #192
Choose your seat at the table wisely to avoid overindulging on Thanksgiving.
Sit with your back to that huge spread of food to squash the impulse to go back for seconds. Out of sight, out of mind, maybe...

Have I mentioned lately my petition that moves that we all get two Thanksgivings?!?! Man, I'm jealz.
But on the upside, it's Grey Cup weekend (like, the Canadian Superbowl, except nobody really cares) - so my mom & I are going to make awesome snacks and maybe (maybe) watch some football. I'll pretend like it's the Thanksgiving of snacks. ;)
Very good tip! I have a hard time with the appetizers, and talking and eating. This year I have an excuse for the belly, but I still don't want to go overboard! I may sit on the couch away from the food. :-)
I go to the big neighborhood feast and I'm always sure to sit in the room that's totally out of view from the food because this is my favorite holiday and I'm sure to indulge!
If you sit with your back to the buffet, it will just whisper the Siren song "Baby come back" in your ear.
I'd have to sit with my back to the table! HA!
