I'd Sit In The Dark And Eat This...

Last month's Cake Slice Bakers selection had fruit in it, and what pregnant woman wants to bake with something healthy like fruit? So I sat that one out, well for that reason and the fact that the Rev wouldn't have eaten it either and it wasn't easily transportable, so I couldn't make it and take it to someone else, so it would have been wasteful. But this month, ah, chocolate, something near and dear to my heart!

I could have researched this cake to try and figure out how it came about its name, but I didn't...bottom line is this, whether in NY or NC, I'd sit in the dark and eat this!

You can find the recipe from Tish Boyle's The Cake Book on her blog, Sweet Dreams. I loved her suggestion to make the cake as cupcakes, so that is what I did! Yum! Can't wait to see what is up for next month.

Looks delish! Did you fill the cupcakes with the pudding?

Yum. Cupcakes are a marvelous invention. They are so cute and just the perfect size! I often have trouble with going back for seconds when slicing into a regular cake ;)

Ooh, these look good! With as much frosting as this recipe involves, cupcakes were a good way to go. Love how they're decorated!
