Tipsy Tuesday (#159)

Spring showers have been in full force here...

Tip #159

but that doesn't mean drippy messes have to be.

Stow wet boots and shoes in a tray that sops up the moisture. Gather a well-worn baking or jelly-roll pan (hit up your local Goodwill or thrift store if you don't have one), a roll of cork (from an office-supply store), a pencil, and scissors. Measure the sheet's interior; cut cork to fit, and place in the pan (the shoes' weight will flatten the cork); replace as needed.

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

What a great tip...thank you!

Does the cork dry quickly enough to keep it from getting mildewy?

Well, I happen to think this is a great tip! My backyard is turning into a small lake. I need one of these for every door that leads into my house. And do you have any ideas for the dog? Her feet are making my job a lot harder since I have to wipe her down before letting her in. Ugh. We needed rain but did we really need THIS MUCH?

Thanks for linking up with us! I love you like a whore loves getting paid.

yes finding tips for a wet dog would be great-- this is a good tip though-- I need to go out looking for cork rolls... so if my husband calls you, run and hide.. I've bought up all of the twizzlers which I don't even like from Walmart and am hoarding newspaper to clean our windows and might end up on a TLC intervention show.. but I love ya dah-ling!

If you don't have the cork, you can also fill a well-used baking pan and fill it with small stones. The boots will leak out onto those and keep your floors dry. Then all you have to do is drain the pan every week!
