Tipsy Tuesday (#153)

Keep the clothes in your closet from taking over...

Tip #153

by using this simple trick to purge never worn items.

Start each year with all of the hooks on your hangers facing out (towards you). After you wear an item, turn the hanger around, so that the hook faces the back of the closet. At the end of the year, take stock of any item that hasn't been worn (they'll be the ones whose hooks are still facing you) and get rid of the items that you didn't wear. Then, you'll have empty hangers and an excuse to shop...you can thank me later....

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

I'd like to try that but I think I'd end up getting rid of half the stuff in my closet. It really a storage area for the seldom worn, but needed clothes.

What's wrong with having 3 different sizes of clothes in your closet?? Or that sweater you wore 10 years ago???

Great tip!

Well, you see, this trick sounds good but I won't use it. Nope. I hold on to clothes for 5-6 years because I'm cheap. And because I always say "oh, I'm gonna lose some L-B's and get back into that". I'm workin' on my fitnezz these days. Quit judging me, Stacie.

Thanks for linking up! xoxo

That is Brilliant! I may choose to extend the time though, I got rid of an incredible purple top that I so wish I had hung on to.

Thanks for linking up and for giving us another wonderful tip!

FABULOUS idea!

I try to purge every 6 months. I figure if I let a season go by and I don't wear something, I don't love it that much and it's not worth keeping. Purging makes me feel good, so I do it often.
