Holidays mean parties...
Tip #148
and lots of overeating. Find the vegetable tray and stay close to it.
If you feel the urge to nibble, hang out next to the low cal options and nibble away. But, watch out for the dip, which can be loaded with extra calories!
**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

The only time I really love veggies is at a party!
I love a good veggie tray, but never more than the sweets!! :))

I tried this at the party I was at on the weekend - everyone else was hovering around the chips, dip, meat & cheese tray...I lingered near the veggies, and told them all how you burn more calories eating celery than you consume. My friend Sara said, "Yeah, and that's why celery is gross." LOL (I really do like it.)
hahaha, I see this and am reminded of a post I did last year based off an email I saw. I so have to share :) http://tnicolej.blogspot.com/2010/12/holiday-eating-tips.html
Anyway that is a good tip though! That and my Nutrition teacher this last semester said a serving size spoon (which is a bit bigger than a tbsp) is the size you should limit yourself to.
Why must you rain on my parade?? Hanging out with the veggies is do-able but not partaking in the dip? Um, I don't think so buddy. Nice try.
Knowing me, I'll be hanging out by the desserts. *shaking my head*
Thanks for linking up, Love!
Veggies is not a good party food! :-)
Now give me some really good chocolate and we can talk! I hope that you have a great Christmas!
What a minute...you can eat carrots and cauliflower with no dip? Your tips are always so enlightening!
Oh good idea! Though I definitely over dip.
This is so true! It's the cheese and crackers that ALWAYS get to me.
