Eco-friendly reusable bags are great for the earth but they could spell trouble for your health. Take precautions.
If a bag absorbs meat juices or touches contaminated produce, it could transfer pathogens to other items the next time it is used. To prevent cross-contamination, launder cloth bags between shopping trips. Wipe out plastic bags with a disinfectant wipe after use.

I saw this on t.v. I never knew to do this till now. I love my grocery tote bags.
