About 25 women, some bloggers, some not, met at her house last Saturday for the meet. We each brought 2-3 home decor items that we had lying around our house collecting dust. I won't give you all of the details of how it worked, because The Nester has it pretty well outlined in her latest post, but I'll tell you this--fun was indeed had by all! I got to meet Kimba and Jen, both of whom I follow in blogland. I also made new friends like, Kristi, Richella, and The Nester's sister, Emily.

Definitely NOT the case here--if anything I admire The Nester and will enjoy her blog that much more having met her. Her blog is so well put together and the pictures of her home that she shares so beautiful, that I was afraid I would be intimidated, but she greeted everyone at the door with a hug and called you by name--you just instantly felt welcome.
And I have to share this and hope that The Nester doesn't mind--at one point fairly early on, we were all standing around chit chatting and she made a comment about how she doesn't do well around people and then later, as you can imagine with 25 people in a house, it got a little warm and she looked at me and asked if she had man-sweat running down her back, and I just had to laugh, she's as real as you and me and maybe she's got it all figured out--it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful.

Un-believable!! I was just scrolling through Nester's post and said, "Man, that looks like Stacie". I am SO JEALOUS!! Glad you had a great time! You know this means I am gonna wrangle you into going to Blissdom this year, right?
Girl, it was such fun meeting you and I'm so glad that I didn't have man sweat yet. I think I did have it about 5 minutes later.
And oh that hot fudge sauce! I cannot wait to crack it open tonight after we have our pizza!

It was so nice to meet you and to get to know you. You are a sweetheart. I love those bugle treats you brought. The next time I go shopping, I am buying bugles. I need to post my pictures from the swap . . . maybe later. I can smell the sink from here.
