Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps

OK, this one is a recipe that I found in a recent magazine and because I always feel guilty posting all of these fattening recipes when my online friend Mandi is kicking butt at Weight Watchers, this one is figure friendly!

It is simple and only 197 calories, 7 1/2 fat grams and 4 Weight Watchers points per serving. The recipe is for a single serving (2 lettuce wraps), so adjust accordingly for your family size. Serve with a baked potato for a well balanced meal.

Philly Cheesesteak Lettuce Wraps

3 oz lean beef steak
1/3 cup sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup thinly sliced onions (I used dried onion flakes)
1 slice fat free American cheese (I used FF swiss)
2 leaves romaine, butter or green leaf lettuce

Slice steak into thin strips.

Coat medium pan with nonstick cooking spray. Add mushrooms and onions; cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes; stirring occasionally, until onions are slightly browned. Set aside.

Remove pan from heat and re-coat with nonstick spray. Cook steak strips over medium-high heat for 1-2 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Break cheese slice into small strips. Place cheese on top of meat--still in pan--and continue to cook until cheese melts.

Remove from heat; mix beef strips with veggies. Serve in lettuce cups.
