There is a chance of wintry weather here today. Ya'll know what that means in the south? All the crazies are running out for bread and milk!
Tip #205
Use this tip to beat them to the freshest loaf.
According to an online article, bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each day has a different color twist tie or plastic tag:.
Monday = Blue,
Tuesday = Green
Thursday = Red
Friday = White
Saturday = Yellow.
So today, Tuesday, you would want a green twist tie; not red, which would be 5 days old! The colors go alphabetically by color, so its easy to remember!
I have to admit, I never get the whole needing bread and milk thing, if I'm going to be snowed in, I want junk food and lots of it, what about you?

I can never remember the colors of the twist ties or tabs-- I just check the dates. I'm a STICKLER for dates. Great tips!!
I've heard about this before! Great tip!
I had absolutely NO idea about this and likely will screw the colors up and get something that's totally going to expire in less than a week. I'm with you on the stocking up thing, I'd get Snickers because they satisfy.
Looks like someone has spruced up a bit!
Good to know but I will never remember what color corresponds with what day, lol.
No way!! Is that nation wide? It seems like all I have ever seen is white ones. I will have to pay more attention now.
