"No, Aunt Bethany, those are the Christmas lights."
Tip # 194
Just in case you are getting ready to Griswold the house up, be safe.
- Indoors or outside, use only lights that have been tested for safety. Identify these by the label from an independent testing laboratory.
- Check each set of lights, new or old, for broken or cracked sockets, frayed or bare wires, or loose connections. Discard damaged sets or repair them before using.
- Fasten outdoor lights securely to trees, house, walls or other firm support to protect from wind damage.
- Use no more than three standard-size sets of lights per single extension cord.
- Turn off all lights on trees and other decorations when you go to bed or leave the house. Lights could short and start a fire.

Ha! Love that term "Griswold the house up"!
Speaking of, this is my favorite Christmas movie and it came on ABCFamily last night. :)
Great advice as usual - I'll be doing some minute inspecting as I get out my lights and decor later today! :)

I put up my lights last weekend. They are pretty weak. I've decided that is the MAIN reason why women need husbands - to put up the damn Christmas lights!!! I hope mine are safe. lol
With any luck Nick is putting lights up this weekend. We go simple and white. It looks nice though.
hubby tries every year to decorate but by the time he gets things the way he wants them Christmas is over
I can't find the storage bucket with the lights in it.
I guess I"m buying new lights!
