Tipsy Tuesday (#163)

If the strawberries that I planted actually grow, I'll be using this tip a lot!

Tip #163

An ordinary drinking straw is a great tool for hulling strawberries.

Simply push the straw up through the bottom of the strawberry and you'll remove that pesky stem and save plenty of berry! (I'd seen this in an email and Janette reminded me of it a few weeks ago. Thanks, Janette!)

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

I don't get that there's a hull to cut out. I just pull the green off and eat it. But Roy cuts it out. I made strawberry lemonade and didn't hull them, am I wrong?

I cut the top off and go with it. Strawberries and cream is one form of fruit I can get into my picky youngest boy. So I make strawberries and cream for dessert or after dinner snack.

Yeah, I never hull them either, just pick the green and stem off and good to go! lol!

SHUT UP! It's so easy that I could have thought of that! We always have strawberries in the fridge. I'll try this and it better work! I'll complain if it doesn't.

Thanks for linking up with us! YOU ROCK!

I must be redneck.... I have never heard of hulling them. Just take off stem rinse and use/eat. LOL

I thought that was pretty clever too, I'm just concerned that it will remove too much of the sweet center of the berry. My thumb nail works just fine.

Thanks for linking up Miss Stacie!
