Tipsy Tuesday (#137)

Are your leftovers safe?

Tip #137

I don't like leftovers, but the Rev does and I don't want him getting sick.

Leftovers need to chill fast enough to prevent dangerous amounts of bacteria from growing. Putting them in a large container isn't the best idea. Instead, transfer extras to containers that are 3 inches deep max and refrigerate fast!

**Alright now, I'm talking tips, head over to see what Impulsive and Shawn (who just so happen to be breaking all sorts of laws in Florida together right now!) are talking about on Talk to us Tuesday!**

I almost always split my leftovers into smaller containers but that's because I have small children who eat them for lunch. :)

Not a left over fan--but trying to learn. Thanks for the tips!

Whoopsie! I'm surprised I haven't killed anyone. I always leave dinner out until it cools. I heard putting warm leftovers in the fridge causes bacteria. See? This is why I love tipsy Tuesday's!

Thanks for linking up, Boo Boo! <---I'm not drunk. It just came out.

I too had no idea that could happen and I consider myself pretty smart when it comes to domestic Godess stuff.

Truth be told I put left overs in the refidgerator and throw them away the next time I gorcery shop, we just aren't big on left overs.

Thanks for linking up!

Love splitting them too. I know it takes up room in the freezer but it makes it easier for me to recycle leftovers for my lunch and get rid of them faster :)

I'm with IA! My momma always told me to let the food cool before putting it away!

We are horrible about getting the food put away after dinner. Oops. Thanks for the tips!

Wow, that's the first I've heard about leftovers needing to be cold fast. I always put the food away fast but not usually in the smallest container. I'll definitely try to remember to do that!
