A Recipe & Valentine's Day Surprises

The Rev and I take turns planning Valentine's Day festivities and this year was my turn. We have to be a little more creative since 1. we live in a much smaller area with lots less eating out choices and 2. unemployment doesn't pay all that well. I decided that we would enjoy a 3 course fondue dinner at home. We had a cheese course with roasted potatoes, broccoli and bread, cooked our own filet mignon and chicken with yummy dipping sauces, and finished up with a chocolate and marshmallow fluff fondue that was soooo good (recipe below).

And the best part of eating at home is that you can eat comfortably in your pajamas!

That would have been enough for me, but the Rev surprised me with some beautiful tulips (my favorite) and a new mp3 player (mine broke last week). Of course, he gets super, extra bonus points because the player is red!

If you haven't fondued (is that a word?), you should. Be sure to try this chocolate recipe, which you can easily make in a crockpot, or over a double boiler, if you don't have a fondue pot.

Chocolate & Marshmallow Fluff Fondue
7oz. milk chocolate
3oz. white chocolate
1 cup marshmallow fluff
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Dump it all in your melting vessel of choice and melt it, stirring every so often. Serve with cake, fruit, and whatever else you like! That's it!
