make Lemon Velvet Squares! It's that time again, time to bake with the Cake Slice Bakers. I have to admit, I was less than enthused about this month's assignment, since I am not a citrus eater. The ladies at school got to reap the benefits of that, since I baked the pan anyway and took it to share. The squares were easy to bake and required no special ingredients, which is always a plus in my book. But they were still lemon, so no rave reviews. Still waiting on a cake from our book, Great Cakes by Carole Walter to wow me....

That's such a bummer that you don't like lemon flavored treats! One of my favorite desserts is a lemon-flavored cupcake with a lemon icing - it looks similar to yours!
