by applying your perfume properly.
The oils in perfumes can stain, especially white clothing, so spray your scent in the air and walk through the mist, rather than spraying on or near your clothing.
I knew to do this but I never do it. WHY? Because I forget. And I don't wear white anything because I'm the messiest person EVER!
