Tip #234
If you aren't sure how much food you need to feed your party crowd, use this handy chart from Parties for Pennies as a reference.
Proper planning will save you time and money and (hopefully!) allow you to focus on your guests, not food, when party day arrives.

Great chart! Seems people fall into two camps - "I don't know if I have enough, but when it's gone, it's gone!" OR "You can never have too much! Last thing you want is to run out!"
ReplyDeleteOK - seriously - 1st Birthday Party? Already? Where has this year GONE!?!
Oh thank you! I pinned it. I have had to plan the food for some big church parties and even a church campout, I always tend to get too much food.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I'm an expert party planner by now...or what, but I managed to have very little leftovers from our party.
ReplyDeleteExcept for cake. Keith's brother did the cake and we took half of it to school.
Very handy to have-- and for your future parties-- note to remember: NEVER PLAN A PARTY AT MEAL TIME. That will save you money in a heartbeat! 1-3 3-5 are good times-- kids should be fed already or are about to go eat dinner. I didn't realize this until I wasted some money during a few... but trust me, providing goldfish for a quick lil' snack or fruit snacks beats buying pizza!
