Dried herbs vs. fresh herbs...what's the deal?Tip #121
Sometimes you just can't find a particular herb fresh or it may be too costly to consider using. So, how much dried do you substitute?
Best rule of thumb is to use 1/3 the amount of dried herbs to replace fresh. If a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon fresh, use 1 teaspoon dried. And for best taste results, add dried herbs at the beginning of your cook time, fresh at the end.
I'm gonna need to copy this and save it. This happens a lot.
